Your privacy is protected.
Everything we discuss in therapy is confidential. This means I will not share information about you or our sessions with anyone without your written permission, except in the following situations required by law:
- If I believe you are at imminent risk of harming yourself.
- If I believe you pose an imminent threat to another person.
- If I suspect abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult.
- If ordered to release records by a court of law.
In any of these situations, I will only disclose the minimum information necessary.
HIPAA compliance
I comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which protects the privacy of your health information.

Information collection
This website collects minimal information. When you use the contact form or scheduling system, you provide information voluntarily. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry or schedule your appointment.
Third‑party services
- SimplePractice — secure scheduling and client portal access. HIPAA‑compliant.
- Vercel — website hosting. Basic analytics may be collected (page views, etc.) but no personal information is tracked.
Cookies
This website uses minimal cookies necessary for basic functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or track your browsing behavior across other websites.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.

- Know what personal information is collected, used, or disclosed.
- Access a copy of the personal information held about you.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.

How to make a request
Email therapywithjuliag@gmail.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” I will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Note: clinical records protected by HIPAA and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act are governed by those statutes rather than the CCPA. Requests to access or amend a clinical record follow a separate process — please ask and I’ll walk you through it.
